Product Description
Are you looking for a product to help you teach all about folktales, fables and myths? This 28 page activity pack is a great resource to use during your Traditional Literature Unit! It contains various activities that will introduce your students to folktales, fables and myths.

This resource includes:

Fable, Myth, and Folktale Posters: Colorful and bright posters with definitions for each traditional literature story type.

Comparison Chart: A graphic organizer to compare fables, folktales and myths

“What’s the Story on…” Booklet: Make a booklet by printing the pages back to back or use the worksheet pages for students to record the definition, characteristics, and examples of each type of story as well as a “snapshot” of a specific example.

Match the Moral Game: Task cards with a short story and matching moral. These can be used as a center activity, memory game, or guided reading/small group practice on identifying morals.

• Character Profile Worksheet:  Students can use this to analyze the traits of a character and support with evidence from the story.

Beginning-Outcome-Lesson Organizer/Essay Page: A graphic organizer to help organize thoughts and story information.

Compare/Contrast Worksheets: Includes a Venn Diagram graphic organizer as well as scaffolded essay prompts to compare two traditional literature stories and two characters using evidence from the story.
Storyboard Summary:  Have the students draw pictures and write the main events from the beginning, middle, and end on the storyboard summary. Then they can cut out each event and glue them so the writing is on the back. Using the storyboard cards, they will practice giving a summary of the story.
