Product Description
This traditions unit is how I start the Christmas season every year in my classroom. The unit includes traditions around the world, such as Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, and Chinese New Year activities. This unit is a wonderful way to help all students, even those who may not celebrate Christmas, feel included and enjoy the holiday season. The unit includes:
**Reading Response-Kwanzaa facts, compare and contrast, story elements, character changes
**Word Work-word families word search, onset and rhyme game, punctuation practice, rhyming game, homophones class book
**Math-place value game, candle measuring, counting money game, problem solving
**Social Studies-world map, traditions around the world, recalling information
**Just for Fun-dreidel game, delicious dreidels

I hope you and your students enjoy this unit as much as my class does every year! I always teach this with my Christmas Around the World unit, which is also available.
