This is a great behavior modification tool. When printing be sure to print the Stop sign on red paper, Caution on yellow, and Go on green. Print double sided. I have mine laminated and use wet erase markers.
The thumbnail makes it appear as if it is not centers. It's centered.
To use: either have the students come up with behaviors or actions that should no longer happen in class or behaviors/actions that should never happen in class, these should be written on the Stop signs. Caution are behaviors that could be crossing the line, or warning signs that the class is not behaving properly. Go are behaviors or actions that are great. The other option is the teacher writes down behaviors/actions s/he has seen. Having the group come up with the Stop and Caution signs does tend to hold them more accountable because they are behaviors/actions the group came up with collectively and promised to uphold a certain standard. Reassess behaviors/actions when necessary.
When the teacher sees a behavior/action written down, she can hold up the appropriate sign or tack it to the board. If a Stop or Caution sign comes up multiple times in a day, it might be time to have a discussion.
