In this 4-page activity, students are asked to answer a close-reading question for each paragraph of this difficult, informational text. Teachers can also require students to mark the text if desired. This activity is the perfect pre-reading exercise for The Crucible, Death of a Salesman, or any study of modern tragedy. The teaching duration will depend on the reading ability of the students and whether the activity is done in class or with some time spent as homework. Need an editable MS Word version? Find it here!
