This product contains a 12 slide PowerPoint presentation and a corresponding note taker that introduces students to the Trail of Tears. It begins by talking about President Andrew Jackson and why he was different from previous presidents. It talks about suffrage and how more citizens from the frontier were gaining the right to vote. It then moves on to talk about how after Jackson was elected, he signed the Indian Removal Act. It discusses what that law states and all about the trail of tears. The corresponding note taker allows students to take fill in the blank notes while still paying attention to the lesson.
