  2. Every year as I teach, I grow. This year, I've been challenged by students who show little interest in simple matching tasks and would prefer to just do "put in" task boxes during work times. I would like to see them move beyond task boxes into matching and sorting and beginning reading type tasks,

Bundle Description

When I plan my "lessons" for a week in my early childhood special education classroom, I begin with a book. Our group lessons and art projects revolve around that book. However, I am often scrambling to find tasks to place in either the independent work center or to teach in my direct instruction center. To help with this issue, I have created these printable tasks that focus on basic concepts -- shapes, colors, picture discrimination or vocabulary and sorting. Because I do have some very young students who still need to learn to do these tasks, I have also included a simple matching task with both errorless and simple options. I have had great success in using these in my classroom and now I'm offering my weekly bundles to my customers.

This weekly bundle of work was created to accompany my adapted book The Train, which is included in this bundle.

Created by Miss Kim Designs for the unique learners in your life. Instructions for creating the tasks are included in the .zip file.

These folder games are perfect for use with many of my adapted books. My adapted books are created for use in pre-K, preschool, autism, early childhood special education and child care classrooms. Each book is interactive and focuses on new vocabulary. To see my inventory of adapted books, click here.
