This download includes train engines or cars with letters a-z, a record sheet, legal size mats and a word document with a list of 3 letter words which can be edited (considered answer sheet if needed).
This resource can be used a number of ways:
1) Print all the letters and punch a hole in the top of each letter and line them up one on top of each other by type. Put a large ring clip through the holes and then attach to the mat (3 in a row). Students can then flip the three different stacks of letters up or down to create words. Students can write words on the record sheet.
2) Have students work in groups or on his/her own with a select (or all letters) to create words. Students can then record the letters they create.
