PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

From Electric English...
This is an assignment that asks students to consider the ideas of civil disobedience or non-violent protest. The students research King and Gandhi then cite examples from their lives and speeches that exemplify aspects of the Transcendentalist philosophy. They are also asked to consider Thoreau and a modern figure of their choice from the same perspective. There are a few questions for them to answer as well :) It is an interesting activity because the students consider the material from several different angles.
