Kids love games! Our board games are perfect for centers or for small groups. Each game reinforces unit concepts in a lively, fast-paced format. Rules are easy to learn. If your students have ever played Sorry! or Chutes & Ladders, they will be familiar with the layouts.
What you get: a digital download of a full-size game board. We "chop" the game board into 4 to 6 printer-friendly pieces that you print out on your color printer (we like using cardstock). Tape your board together and laminate for years of use. We also include all the curriculum-based "action" cards. Some games have "quiz" cards where students must answer questions correctly to move forward. You can laminate these too. Lost or damaged pieces? Just print some more!
What you don't get: Game pieces/markers and dice. We make suggestions for game-appropriate markers such as pebbles, acorns, nuts/bolts, or beans. Or simply cannibalize another game for dice or markers! You also get a very specific content-driven social studies game that is hand-drawn and completely unique. These also make great samples for teaching students how to make their own games.
Best of All: If you use our board games as companion products to our complete units, you will never have to prep California Social Studies again. We have done EVERYTHING, so all you have to do is teach. We write the student-friendly high-interest texts for every unit, include vocabulary, discussion questions, writing assignments, and even a cool art project!
Very best of all: Incredible Value at an Incredible Price. We guarantee it.
