"Protein practice" is a worksheet for biology students to practice creating mRNA and amino acids from a given strand of DNA.
Codon charts are not included. (Although you can easily find one online or in your favorite textbook.)
Included on this worksheet are 5 boxes, each of which contains 10 codons to figure out. I have broken the DNA strand into 3's to make it easier for students to find codons.
I love to use this as formative assessment with my biology and honors biology classes. It's a great way to practice this skill!
Key is included. The PDF download does not have a watermark.
