In this Transformation Mystery Trip activity, students must translate, reflect, and rotate their location to figure out their final mystery destination. Students begin in Jackson, Mississippi and perform a series of transformations that leads them to one of the following six final destinations.
(A) Washington Monument
(B) Rocky Mountain National Park
(C) Fenway Park
(D) Grand Canyon
(E) St. Louis Arch
(F) Universal Studios
This product includes the following:
1. Transformation Mystery Trip Map (with grid lines)
2. Six different sets of instructions for students to follow, leading them to one of the six mystery destinations
3. Answer key for each of the six sets of instructions
4. Teacher instructions and tips
To help differentiate, the first three sets of instructions only include translations and reflections. The final three sets of instructions include translations, reflections, and rotations.
