This product can be used after students have explored and learned about the four types of transformations: translations, dilations, reflections and rotations. An answer document is provided for students to cut and paste various categories. This could be an excellent individual or partner activity in order to review and make sense of all the transformations. Students are asked to sort pieces into the following categories: definitions, image and pre-image (congruent or not), coordinate notation (two examples), and eight graphs. Students are also asked to create their own pre-image on a graph and coordinate notation for each type of transformation.
Finally, students are asked to graph two different transformations. A spaced is provided for students to explain if the image and pre-image are congruent to each other.
