I have used these presentations for the past five years to teach transformations. (I do make small edits each year - these were edited September 2018)
Day 1 = Introduction to Transformations
Dat 2 = Reflections
Day 3 = Translations
Day 4 = Rotations
I usually use Google Slides or Powerpoint to show this presentation but a PDF really captures everything. (I haven't put the time in to add transitions or animations anyway.)
Day 3: Translation slides walk students through performing translations starting with an ordered pair rule, a vector, or a function (using vector notation). These slides also include the definition for a composition and students explore what a composition of reflections over parallel lines creates. The final slides, show why translations can be written as a composition of reflections.
