If you want your students to be comfortable with the quadratic, absolute value, and square root functions WHILE practicing vertical stretches/shrinks, reflections, and vertical/ horizontal shifts, then this is the activity for you!
There are 12 graphs with 12 descriptions and 12 equations. No two transformations are the same.
Students are tasked with grouping the graph, equation and the description together.
There are 12 groups with 3 cards each.
Easy to print and cut - each page lines up if you use a cutting board.
Answers are already on each page - just make sure you put the cards in order from A-B, 1-12, and I-VII for a good shuffle!
**For an extra challenge, take out 1 card from each group and tell the students to complete the missing piece. The last page is what I give to the students and they have to complete it to officially finish the activity.
