The attached pdf is an inquiry-based vocabulary sort. Page 1 has terms with pictures, and page 2 has the answers. Cut out the answers and give one column to each student, and have them arrange the answers until they feel good about them. Have them check with a partner and/or you before they glue them or write them down.
Once they have done that, page 3 has them apply the vocab to ensure they understand it.
All my students found this activity accessible, even my RTI group was able to complete the sort and successfully answer the questions on their own. I used this before I taught transformations so that students had some prior knowledge before we took a deep dive into the subject. Enjoy!
