Transformations Writing Rules Matching Puzzle
This puzzle requires students to match algebraic rules written in arrow notation with the corresponding graphs or points. Students cut out the 16 puzzle squares, rearrange the squares in the correct formations, and then glue them on the answer sheet template. This is an engaging way of giving students extra practice with identifying transformations and writing rules to describe them.
This puzzle was created for a 10th grade Geometry course, but it would also be appropriate for middle school students. The puzzle focuses on translations, reflections, and rotations. No dilations are used.
