Power Point Instruction file #1. This is a 35 slide Power Point that revels all 10 transformations of 5 different functions. The student can visualize the transformations made from the parent function and relate the transformations to the equation. The functions that are used to illustrate this are:

1. The squaring function y=x^2

2. The cubing function, y=x^3

3. The cosine function, y=cosx

Power Point Instruction file #2 is 10 slides emphasizing the 10 possible transformations of a function(listed below). Visualizations are made by computer models of the absolute value function, the squaring function, the power function and the square root function.

A graph of the parent function f(x) and the transformed function g(x) are given. The student must identify the best equation for g(x). The following functions and their graphs are used:

Assignment Power Point #6. This is a 20 question multiple choice assignment. The student must identify transformation rules in functional notation. A quick example is f(x+2) is a shift left from f(x). The problems are both in notation form and on graphs.
