This worksheet allows the student to investigate and explore the transforations of quadratics using tables and graphs. The student will begin with the parent function and in each following step see a different transformation of the parabola and also see how the equation itself has changed. The student will make a connection between graph and equation. As the student progresses through the worksheet, he will see multiple transformations on the same parabola, and eventually be able to describe the changes that will happen before even graphing. The worksheet uses colored pencils to emphasize the transformations that the parabola has made, thus making it very clear what is happening to the graph each time.
