PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This assignment contain 30 problems revolving around nomenclature of transition metal compounds. This assignment contains an example of how to find the charge of a transition metal, some practice on just that. It also has practice writing and naming ionic formulas that contain transition metals. This assignment is suitable for AP Chemistry, PreAP Chemistry, or Regular Chemistry.

This zip file contains 3 Word documents:
1. a version formatted as a full sheet of paper
2. a version formatted to be cut into half sheets
3. a key

The polyatomic ions used in this assignment are: ammonium, nitrate, hydroxide, carbonate, sulfate, and phosphate (The minimum 6 polyatomic ions students must know for VA SOL Tests).

I use half sheets to conserve paper and the smaller size seems less overwhelming to students. Full sheets can also be useful because you can print something else on the back.
