Translating Algebraic Expressions Matching Activity and Mystery Picture Puzzle in Google Slides
In this fun no prep Google Slide® activity students translate verbal expressions into algebraic expressions to complete two puzzles
, each with 12 questions. Expressions include some equations and some applications such as Jane makes x dollars /hour and Pedro makes 2 dollars/ hour less than double what Jane earns. What does Jane earn? Please look at the previews to make sure this is appropriate for your classes.
After translating the expressions, students drag matching puzzle pieces onto a grid to form a fun puzzle appropriate for all grades. Great reinforcement and self checking and so much more fun than a worksheet, plus no messy time-wasting cutting and pasting.
Easy to follow illustrated directions for you and your students are included as well as an answer key.
Note: You and your students must have access to the internet and have individual FREE Google Drive Accounts to use this resource.
