I created this activity to help students identify key words and phrases that translate into algebraic symbols, expressions, equations and inequalities.

Students will use color coding to identify key words that translate into math operations and comparison symbols. The activity is perfect for Interactive Student Notebooks (ISNs.)

Students will practice translating words, phrases and sentences into Algebra.

The product includes:

- two pages of text boxes and symbols that students will color code
- a slideshow in pdf form
- a notes template that corresponds with the slideshow
