This activity engages Algebra 1 students physically, mentally, and emotionally as they practice translating words into mathematical symbols and vice versa.
Students walk around the classroom, trading papers with 14 different classmates and answering questions. They take ownership of their work by signing their name to each question they answer.
Important concepts like “less than”, “more than”, and “five times the sum”, are included.
This product contains TWO versions – a QR code version and a non-QR code version. Students can use the QR code version to check their answers as they complete the activity. QR Code Reader apps are available for free on most devices and no internet connection is required. No devices? No problem! Just print the non-QR Code version and go over the answers with your students at the end using the answer key provided!
