This resource has 10 translated functions that students need to pair with the parent functions. The functions used are quadratic, cubic, absolute value, square root, and cube root. They then need to match the descriptions of the translated function with the proper equation. Next comes the table of values, where they will need to write out the original table and a table for the new function. The last column is a graph. I have supplied the graphs of all the parent function and the students will then draw the translated function on top.
Everything is supplied in this document. They cut out and glue the pieces in the correct spots on the table. I have my students do this without a calculator since I want them to understand what each number does to the function as well as color code them. I have included a rubric as I use this as a project grade for the students. Depending on the class, they may work together or separately. Thank you for using my products!
