This is a CVC (and some digraphs) card game. I use this in small groups for phonics practice.
To Make: Print the pages 3-6 on cardstock. Cut and laminate cards. Put the cards in a large canister. Page 2 is a label that fits well when trimmed on an empty disinfectant wipes canister if you’d like to use it. Having it stored in a labeled canister makes it super easy to pull out of a closet and have ready for a volunteer or a sub… or myself .
To Play: Pass the container around. Players take turns drawing a card and reading the word. If they get it right, they may keep the card. If a player draws a “stop” card, they loose all their cards and they go back in the container. When time is up, the player with the most cards wins.
