Roll and cover is a great way to get your kids to practice their subitizing skills! What is subitizing? It is the ability to see a group of objects and tell you how many there are without counting. Dice are one of the most fun tools for practicing this skill and develop children’s number sense.
These fun games can be played by one child, or many children together. Each person rolls the dice, adds up what they got and then find and cover that number on the board. Color boards can be laminated or put in page protectors and used with objects to cover the numbers or the blackline masters can be printed and used with crayons, markers, or for even more fun, bingo dotters!
This download includes 13 different vehicles as full page game boards in both color and blackline masters.
For kids that are super subitizers, or need more of a challenge, set a timer and see if they can beat the timer and cover all of the numbers before time expires!
