This is a fun way to get the students moving in the classroom! There are 12 transportation picture cards. Each has a word and a number. The students can do this on two different occasions or you can have them do both activities at the same time. The students will walk around the room and find the number of the picture card and then write the word that corresponds with it. For students that do not yet write I have included an additional 2 worksheets; 1 one with 3 word options for the student to circle the corresponding word or the other worksheet has 3 picture options and the student has to circle the corresponding picture choice.
The is the same routine for the worksheets where the students will identify the number of the picture card and then write the name of the corresponding picture. Again there is a worksheet with 3 number options for students that do not yet write so they can circle the corresponding number.
Finally, I have included a page for students to take their answers and then break up into the correct category. This page serves as an informal assessment to see how well students understand the concepts of land, sea, and air. For my students they do not yet have the understanding of sea and air, so I have also added the words sky and water.
Lastly, for the students that do not write I have included picture with corresponding word for them to cut out and glue into their respective category.
