Trapezoids and Kites
In this lesson, students will learn the properties of rhombi, rectangles, and squares.
• Warm-Up -
Students are given a diagram of a rhombus and must find missing angle measures and lengths.
• Guided Notes -
Two versions are included: mostly complete and fill-in-the-blank. The notes are 3 pages long. Examples are included throughout. The last page has a coordinate geometry example and could be omitted if desired.
• Presentation -
A PDF presentation is included to use as in-class student practice. Since it is a PDF, the "slides" could be written on using SMART software (or other similar software). There are 10 questions. The presentation is in the format of Question-Answer-Question-Answer-Etc.
• Homework -
The homework is 2 pages and 15 questions. Some of the questions require students to solve equations. One of the questions use coordinate geometry.
• Answer Keys -
Completely worked out answer keys are included.
