Product Description
I love seeing the adorable "Trapped in a Snow Globe" writings that younger grades do, so I decided to create this fun upper-grades snow globe narrative prompt! When they complete the graphic organizer, they will have written a 6-paragraph narrative that is aligned with Common Core and TNReady Standards. The best part is that students can still create a colorful snow globe scene using the included stationery. You can take students' pictures, cut them out, glue them onto the stationery page, let students draw other images inside the globe, pour in some big white glitter flakes, glue a 6" clear plate to the perimeter of the globe, and voila! Older kids will have a cute snow globe picture to go along with their stories.

Included:
1. Parts of a Narrative Poster: Spells out ICEE, a word students can memorize and use to help them remember the parts of a narrative.
2. Writing Prompt & Tips: The prompt will help them focus their stories, and the tips align with the rubric that you will use to grade them.
3. Writing Guide (graphic organizer): This 2-page writing guide will help students write a 6-paragraph narrative which includes the important elements of a narrative (setting, characters, plot, and resolution).
4. Exemplar: I wrote an example that you can share with students so they know what you expect.
5. Stationery: The first page has a 6-inch circular snow globe on it as well as a few lines for writing on the base of the globe, and the second page is full of lines. I recommend copying the stationery onto card stock for durability. Even if it is just regular paper, your students can decorate the snow globe and even glue on a clear plastic plate so it really looks like a snow globe!
6. Rubric: 4 areas worth 25 points each.
7. Standards: Common Core and TNReady Standards pages for grades 2, 3, 4, and 5.
