Students are split into teams of three. Each question asked requires a different representative chosen by the team to come to the front of the room and answer. The first person to answer the question correctly receives a chance to make shots into the basket. One basket equals one team point. The team with the most points at the end of the game, wins!
Throughout the game, there are opportunities for each team to receive a bonus shot. There is also a sudden death bonus round at the end of the game. When I played this in my classroom, I took points away for students being too rowdy or loud. As far as materials go, you will need a bell, a table to place the bell on, a trash can and a balled up piece of paper…that’s it!
You are purchasing a blank template therefore this game can be adapted to any subject and any lesson. Each slide contains a template so all you need to do is type in the designated boxes. If you are inserting an image, make sure to not delete the image that is there as a placeholder. In order to ensure that the animations remain intact, the best course of action is to have the image saved on your computer, right-click on the image place holder, choose change picture and select the picture you want. My students absolutely love this game and I know yours will, too!
