Have you ever had a student missing a week of school or more to go on an adventure out of the country? Sometimes asking them to make up every piece of work they miss can be a burden to both the student and teacher - but we also want to make their adventure meaningful and educational.
This Travel Journal includes six prompts and space to write a detailed response. A teacher can easily print out these sheets (only two pages when printed front-back) and give them to a student before they depart.
Extension ideas: ask the students to turn their journal into a PowerPoint or other presentation with photographs, or create another "Show and Tell" style presentation to share their experiences with the class.
