This performance-based project is designed to allow students to have fun while they research Spanish-speaking countries. Students may work alone or with a partner. They will pick a country, and plan as though they are going to that country. Students will learn how to look up airline tickets, find hotels, and budget for food and lodging.
The project has a budget planning worksheet that will walk students through the different parts of the project. You may assign students how much they can spend on their trip, or you may let them set an overall budget.
Students will also answer questions about their trip in the preterite. This will also be the guide for the presentation portion of the project. This will allow them to answer questions in the tú form and use their travel vocabulary.
The presentation portion is the most fun for students. They must have some form of visual aid. Most of my students choose to do a PowerPoint. They need to include pictures of all the places they visited. They must speak completely in Spanish.
The rubric is included.
