Product Description

This is a research project in which students can write about different countries! I have provided 7 different countries to choose from and 1 blank option in case you would like to allow students to pick a different country.

I have provided two different versions of this resource. The first one allows students to do research independently. They must fill in the blanks in the template to provide information such as: food, culture, holidays & festivals, location, population, and several others.

The other option includes templates that already have this information filled in. This way, students can go ahead and get straight to writing.

I have also included an additional extension template in which students can add extra information.

Students can also create a brochure when they finish their writing. The template is included.

Included:

•Teacher instructions

•Seven different country options—these templates are blank so that students can conduct their own research.

•Country templates that include the information about these countries. This can either provide a base and background for writers to build on their research, or it can serve as the primary resource for students to write about. These pages contain information about each country already filled in.

•A blank ”Pick a Country” template in which students can choose a different country that is not involved in the packet.

• “Gathering Information: What Did You Find?” page—this page can serve as an add on for students to gather more extensive research. It can also serve as an extension.

•Lined pages with four different writing prompts—persuasive, informative, narrative, and compare & contrast.

•Plain lined paper page

•Brochure template—students create a brochure on the country that they researched. They use this to provide the high points.
