Treasure Hunt is a game to master forward number word sequence and backward number word sequence skills of multiples. Children play this game with a total of 10 cards, such as numbers 4-40 (multiples of 4) and two treasures. The cards are mixed up in two even rows with the two treasures mixed within the cards. They take turns picking cards and putting the cards in order. This game supports strategies such as counting on, counting backwards, and much more. At the end of the game I require my students to verbally state out loud the number sequence both forward and backward. Great math center!
