Recall multiplication facts of two, three, five and ten and related division facts (ACMNA056) Year 3
Investigate number sequences involving multiples of 3, 4, 6, 7, 8, and 9 (ACMNA074) Year 4
Recall multiplication facts up to 10 × 10 and related division facts (ACMNA075) Year 4
Year Level: Year 3 and 4
Concept of the game is to experience an unpredictable multiplication sequence. Students will learn and reinforce 0‐9 multiplication facts with extension beyond 9 to 12.
Teacher will provide students with the appropriate numbers from the Coins, depending on the student’s level of learning.
Play will be determined by or using alternative methods i.e. the taller of the two will start.
Players will take turns picking Gold Coins 1 at a time placing the overturned tokens on the 1st picked and 2nd picked placements. “x” marks the spot shows that this is a multiplication fact.
Players will answer the multiplication fact one at a time. Correct answers are held by the player, incorrect answers are replaced with new coins and the next player plays.
Players will answer as many correct multiplication facts in turn until the entire board is complete.
The winner will have the most coins.
Larger multiplication facts 9 to 12 times table facts.
Players can add up the coin values at the end to determine the winner.
