These 4th Grade Treasures Organizers accompany the Treasures basal put out by MacMillan/McGraw-Hill in 2007. There are 19 organizers with answer keys that comprise 248 pages. These organizers contain five sections for the students (although teachers are responsible for the first section, and that is the teaching of the vocabulary). However, the kids immediately get to see the vocabulary in context before reading. The five sections are vocabulary, comprehension, compare and contrast, fluency practice, and summarizing. The stories included in this set are as follows: A Walk in the Desert, Because of Winn-Dixie, Dear Mr. Winston, How Ben Franklin Stole the Lightning, Me and Uncle Romie, Mighty Jackie the Strike Out Queen, My Brother Martin, My Brother’s Flying Machine, My Diary from Here to There, Mystic Horse, Roadrunner’s Dance, Snowflake Bentley, The Astronaut and the Onion, The Blind Hunter, The Cricket in Times Square, The Gold Rush Game, The Mystery of the Missing Lunch, The Raft, and Wild Horses. You’ll also notice that some of the answer keys do not have every section filled out because of the myriad of possible responses in those sections (this comprises mostly the story elements page that accompanies many of the organizers and some of the compare/contrast sections). Please peruse the first three organizers for free in the preview section. Enjoy!
