These third grade Treasures Organizers accompany the Treasures basal put out by MacMillan/McGraw-Hill in 2007. There are 20 organizers with answer keys that comprise 249 pages. These organizers contain five sections for the students (although teachers are responsible for the first section, and that is the teaching of the vocabulary). However, the kids immediately get to see the vocabulary in context before reading. The five sections are vocabulary, comprehension, compare and contrast, fluency practice, and summarizing. The stories included in this set are as follows: A Castle on Viola Street, Beatrice’s Goat, Boom Town, Cock-A-Doodle-Doo, Dear Juno, First Day Jitters, Here’s My Dollar, Home-Grown Butterflies, Mother to Tigers, My Very Own Room, One Riddle One Answer, Penguin Chick, Seven Spools of Thread, Stone Soup, The Jones Family Express, The Perfect Pet, The Planets in Our Solar System, The Printer, Wilbur’s Boast, and Wolf. You’ll also notice that some of the answer keys do not have every section filled out because of the myriad of possible responses in those sections. Please peruse the first three organizers for free in the preview section. Enjoy!
