Treasures Kindergarten Sight Word Readers and Pocket Chart Activities!
This set of 31 readers and 31 pocket chart activities is designed to teach and reinforce the 31 sight words associated with the Kindergarten Treasures program. However, it can be used with any primary reading program! The set includes:
• A one page foldable sight word book for each sight word. These books contain repetitive text that has heavy picture support. The books gradually progress as the series moves along, introducing return sweep, different punctuation and twists in the repetitive text.
• A pocket chart companion for each book. Each pocket chart set has four sentences and four pictures for your students to read and match. There are three sentences directly from the sight readers and one additional sentence for application of skills. (Written in large text on strips.) Pocket chart sets can be combined as the year progresses to make it more challenging.
• A set of flashcards for the 31 sight words. (Print them twice and you have an instant concentration game!)
These books and pocket chart activities are perfect for literacy stations, morning work, homework review, large or small group instruction or intervention groups. They are also a very good review to accompany the first grade Treasures Start Smart! Because of the single page foldable format they are also a great paper saver!
The 31 words featured are as follows: a, and, are, can, do, for, go, has, have, he, here, I, is, like, little, look, me, my, play, said, see, she, the, this to, was, we, what, where, with, you.
