Copy and Create
Use the worksheets with treble clef-inspired words and visual prompts to create words on the staff papers. If working alone a student could take the worksheet and a blank staff and create words. If in pairs or small groups one student could tell the others the word and then check their answers.
Dots on Notes
If in pairs or a group, one student should choose a treble clef challenge card and read the word to the other students. Each kid takes counters, erasers, marbles, or some other small object to place the notes on their own blank staff card. When everyone has finished the first student reveals the correct answer to the group. If working alone, student should take challenge card and work to recreate the notes on the lines and space of their blank card.
Cover to Complete
Find all of the treble clef cards and work through each one (following the directions on the card). When you’ve completed a card, cover up the number on the worksheet that matches. If working alone a student could take the worksheet treble clef cards and try to match all 8. If in pairs or small groups one student could tell the other the word and then check their answers on the blank staff.
Fill in the Staff
Find all of the treble clef challenge cards and copy the notes to the staff lines on the worksheet page to spell each word. If working alone a student could take the worksheet treble clef cards and try to match all 8. If in pairs or small groups one student could tell the other the word and then check their answers on the blank staff.
Write in the Note
Find all of the treble clef challenge cards without letters and fill in the correct answer for each line or space note. Use the reference page if needed. If in pairs or small groups students can work together our complete the task or one student could work on a challenge card while the other person checks for the correct answer.
