Reading notes directly on the staff just became exciting for your elementary music students. The interactive game and assessment is perfect to use anytime you are studying pitches and note names with your elementary music students. The chocolate and heart candy will also lend itself for a perfect lesson in February around Valentine’s Day. It is an excellent activity to add to your Orff and Kodaly curriculum.
The product contains two separate components. The interactive game includes 16 student interactive slides (created with PowerPoint 2010). Each slide has several sound effects and animations. Students will read the note name then select the piece of chocolate with the correct letter name. They will know immediately without leaving the page if they are correct or if they need to read it again. The assessment and answer key is included in a pdf document. The assessment has 2 per page to save on ink and paper. The product works well with Smartboards! Students just have to touch the board to activate the animations.
A great game to use with the entire class, a substitute or centers!
An excellent observation or assessment tool to see which students might be struggling with the concept.
The product was created to be compatible for Mac users. However, please download the preview as a test prior to purchasing!
