Here is a great project used to assess or build on students understanding of combinations using tree diagrams using popular clothing brands! Any of your kids who like to shop or who are always worried about what they're wearing will truly love this!
Here is what's included:
Pages 4-10: Differentiated Tree Diagram Tasks or Assessments (Easy to Hard in difficulty) with picture representation
Pages 11-16: Clothing Store “menus” from different (real!) brands
Page 17: Work Sample
Page 18-19: Differentiation Cards
Page 20: Project Labels
Page 21-22: Project Mat (Layout for students who need more assistance)
Using the menu they have selected, students will create a tree diagram showing the various outfit combinations that can be purchased at their particular clothing store. The worksheets allow for students to pre-plan their diagram before being given the quick print sheet for labeling and a sheet of construction paper on which to create their tree diagram! The worksheets are differentiated and you can select which one that you see fit for each student! Differentiation cards are included which make it easy for you to have students complete the project in their own ability!
