This is another activity from my geometry unit. Just like the Shape Hunt, it is also a hands-on, interactive activity for students. For this activity I would group my students into partners or small groups. They would then be asked to hunt either in the classroom, or outside (weather depending) for representations of the different types of triangles. I often made it a competition to see who could find the most. This is a simple activity that requires the students to simply identify the different types of triangles. It helps give them a sense of the purpose of geometric ideas in every day situations.
