Description

Students will practice solving problems related to triangle inequalities with this “Math Lib” activity. This includes identifying possible side lengths of a triangle, ordering side lengths and angle measures from least to greatest, finding a range of possible side length values, inequalities in two triangles, the Hinge Theorem, and using algebra to solve problems. Students must be able to solve linear inequalities.

The answer to each station will give them a piece of a story (who, doing what, with who, where, when, etc.). This is a much more fun approach to multiple choice, and the students adore reading the story to the class. They get very excited to see which of their teachers is the "star" of the story.

EDIT ALL STORY ELEMENTS! All slides are given in an editable format so you are free to personalize the story for your students. PowerPoint is required to edit. Only story elements can be changed, not the actual problems.

Great resource to review and get students moving around the room. It's nice to be able to change the answers in the story to make it relate more to their class or school.
