This is a discovery learning activity where students work in pairs or groups to determine what the relationship is between angle measures and the lengths of the opposite sides within a triangle. My students found an investigation activity more interesting than simply stating the theorem and it helps them retain the knowledge longer.
This activity is aligned to the common core and the target is written in student friendly language at the top of the page so students can self-assess at the end of the investigation.
