Welcome to my store! Here are 36 super-cool task cards on the triangle inequality theorems that are found in a typical high-school Geometry class!
These task cards have a wide variety of difficulty levels. Each topic has been grouped into six task cards. For example, “Determining whether a triangle can be formed given three sides” is on cards #1 through #6. “Listing angles in increasing order based on side lengths given” is on #7 through #12, etc. In general, the last two in each group are the most challenging for that topic. If your kids are not up to the challenge, you will want to remove the last two cards for each topic. Even after removing two cards in each group, you would still have 24 task cards.
I have also included a few activity and game ideas for those of you who may be new to using them!
Below is a detailed description of exactly what is included:
• 36 Task cards on triangle inequality in a standard high-school geometry class.
o Determining whether a triangle can be formed with three given sides.
o Listing angles in increasing order based on the side lengths given.
o Listing side lengths in increasing order based on the angle measures given.
o Determining the range for the third side length, given two other side lengths.
o Determining longest/shortest side when two triangles share a side.
o Determining largest/smallest angle or side using SSS and SAS Inequality Thms.

• Answer Key for the teacher
• A Teacher Instruction Sheet that includes three ideas for task card usage.
