Product Description
Pre-Lesson Set-Up : Teacher will set up four separate houses (stations) for each Halloween Character, presented on slides 2-5. At each house should be 10 counters (which will be used as candy!)

Set Purpose: Students will read the problem portrayed on the computer/Smart Board/Projector. Then, students will “Trick or Treat” to the various houses to collect the given amount of candy to demonstrate the addition statement using hands on manipulatives.

Example:
Students will first go to Val Vampire’s house and collect 3 pieces of candy. Next, they will go to Gary Ghost’s house and collect an additional 4 pieces of candy. They will use the hands on manipulativces (counters) to represent the addition sentence and calculate the sum.

Once students complete the Trick Or Treating activity as well as the hands on counting aspect of the activity, students may click the mouse for the correct answer to appear on the slide.

Included : Four different signs for the different “Houses”. There are also 16 slides of addition problem examples.
