*8 page early emergent reader ‘Trick or Treat!’
*8 page early emergent reader ‘Trick of Treat!’ with fill in the blank for ‘see’ on each page
*4 word cards (I, see, a, my) for use in a pocket chart
*1 punctuation card (.) for use in a pocket chart
*7 picture and word cards for use in a pocket chart
How To Copy:
On your copier, select ‘collated’ and ‘staple’
with the ‘2 staples left’ option
Once books are copied and stapled, use a paper cutter (or scissors) to cut in half & make 2 books
Candy corn placed under each word in the book allow for students to practice reading with 1:1 correspondence. Give each student a spider ring or spooky Halloween finger to wear on their 'reading finger' to make it even more 'spook'-tacular!
Makes a Great Make-A-Book Center or use in a guided reading lesson the week of Halloween!
Follow up with a writing activity about what students will be for Halloween and/or for the day after Halloween where they can write about all the costumes they saw while trick or treating!
