This 10-page download includes a unit comprised of four writing-based lessons regarding "Trickster Tales: Forty Folk Stories from Around the World," addressing four different writing modes: argumentation, comparison, narration, and reflection.
These four lesson plans includes clear instructions for writing-based instruction linked directly to folktales from the text, taking into account teacher directions, student instructions, assessment suggestions, and Common Core standards for each writing activity.
Designed for students in grades 6 through 9, this unit has been worded with academic language appropriate for upper levels of students, but easily adjustable for more remedial or younger instruction.
