I have a new way to make teaching and learning trig identities easier. Students know what they need to do, but not how to do it. So, I've created a worksheet with hints and baby steps.
First page- Students forget how to add/subtract/multiply/divide fractions, so that review is the first page.
Second and Third Page-Trig identities problems are on this page. Students will look for the hints on the left column as to what to do. For example, it will tell them the first step to solving a trig identity is to convert everything to sin and cos. Then, students should look at the problem to decide if they are adding fractions, multiplying, etc. Once they understand the problem type, they should be able to understand how to solve and simplify the trig identity.
This product works great as a group activity, classwork, or homework.
