Have some fun when trying to memorize or identify the basic trigonometric ratios. Students will be challenged to match trig ratios with angles to complete a sudoku puzzle. The puzzle is just a bonus, since the matching exercise covers the actual skill. This is great to use when the level of skill varies among students.
There are two matching challenges and one maze. In the maze, students will follow a path of equivalent ratios from start to finish. If they get lost in the maze, well, they probably need to study their ratios!
Included in this resource;
Sudoku 1 - Match the trig ratio to the angle given in degrees. Then substitute the matched number with the letter in the grid to solve the puzzle as a traditional sudoku (directions included).
Sudoku 2 - Same directions as puzzle 1 with angles given in radians (and the puzzle is harder).
Maze - Follow the path of equivalent ratios from START to FINISH. The path only works when you find equal ratios.
Answers are included.
