The perfect Foldable for Interactive Notebooks, this Graphing the Sine and Cosine Flip Book with Notes, practice, and additional worksheet is designed for Trigonometry, PreCalculus, and some Algebra 2 classes. The examples are in radians.

Topics cover Amplitude, Phase Shift, Period, Vertical Shift, finding the End Points, and graphing of sinusoidal functions.

  • The Flip Book has 10 pages and contains 16 examples, with many for your students to complete. Topics are introduced first with the sine, then later applied to the cosine. I have found this order works very well with my students. Also included is a Flip Book with the solution key.

  • This resource also includes a 23 problem handout. The handout can be used as enrichment, homework, group work, or as an assessment. The answer key is included.

The organizer is a perfect size for traditional or Interactive Notebooks, or just to use for studying before a test. Final folded size is 4 ¼” by 7”. Three sheets of 8 1 1/2'' by 11"' paper make two books.

Use the unit circle to explain symmetry (odd and even) and periodicity of trigonometric functions.
Use special triangles to determine geometrically the values of sine, cosine, tangent for π/3, π/4 and π/6, and use the unit circle to express the values of sine, cosine, and tangent for π–𝘹, π+𝘹, and 2π–𝘹 in terms of their values for 𝘹, where 𝘹 is any real number.
Explain how the unit circle in the coordinate plane enables the extension of trigonometric functions to all real numbers, interpreted as radian measures of angles traversed counterclockwise around the unit circle.
